Swing!
a) You're taller than 2/3 of the boys in your school and
b) Your friends' partners are shorter than them so you get to laugh while they try to do the arch! I know that's not very nice, but it really is funny.
Today we learned a really cool part of the swing. Basically, the girl sits down on the floor holding the guy's hands. the guy then drops her left hand and swings his right leg over her back. Then he pulls her between his legs and she hops up. It's a lot of fun, especially when you don't hit your nose on your knees. (Don't ask.)
So today was good, but i got really mad yesterday when I couldn't find the correct circular needles at Michael's or JoAnn. So I ordered them online. However, this pushes knitting Dad and Brother's hats further towards Christmas, and I'm already going to be slow since these are my first hats. So I don't know what I'm going to do.
Hoping your Christmas knitting is going better than mine,
Little Miss Loopy

Dancing: Part II
I got my answer in sixth period gym. He ditched me! He went right back to the she-devil! OK, so she's not that bad. But still. She always gets everything she wants. And she's like my clone. The more popular, pretty kind. For example:
- In sixth grade, I won young authors and got to go to state. She was there, too!
- In seventh grade, we were in the exact same classes. She always tended to do slightly better than me.
- Last March/April, I became a vegetarian. When we get back to school this year, she's a vegetarian too! And of course, she announces to the world.
- For our persuasive essays, we both wanted to do vegetarianism. Guess who got the topic?
- In Scien e, when we switched seats, she sat by my crush.
And now this. You know, I think that's the part that gets me the most. Yeah, I'm mad at K for going back to her, when Mrs. H said we could switch and I had the guts to ask him. But it's mostly the fact that A is getting what she wants once again. Urgh! It makes me mad just typing about it.
Anyway, back to knitting. I finished M's Secret Snowflake Scarf! Weaving in ends and all. it's going to look so good on her, and it was easy, too. Now all I need is to get my hands on some circular needles so I can make Dad and Brother's hats.

Dancing
Whoa, that took all of the steam out of me. oh well, I'm going to rant anyway. Well, it won't really be a rant. But it will be rantish. OK, maybe not. But I am going to blather on about my personal life without regard for the readers (if any) of this blog.
Yeah, it's not really a rant, so I don't know why I said that. But anyway, here's the story:
My school has a tradition of dancing in P.E. every year. We do square dance, waltz, tango, cha-cha, swing, and line dancing. We (obviously) need partners for this, and most people try to ask each other before it starts. I did try, I really did. But the first day of square dancing came, and there I was. No partner in sight. All the non-partner people scrambled to find partners, and V asked me. Now remember that he asked me literally two minutes before we started. I square dance with him for about three days, but it's OK since we're making fools of ourselves in a group. Then today comes, when we start waltz. The girls get to pick partners, and I really didn't like V. So I asked K, and he said yes. Now, K had been dancing with A, but she was absent that day (lucky for me). So we danced and it was OK. But now V is mad, and I think A (who I dislike) will be mad too. Was what I did so wrong? I don't think so, but my friends do. Oh well. Too bad for them.
Now, on to knitting. I'm in a knitting slump. I was becoming frustrated with H's leg warmers, so I gave up on those. I need to go out and buy circular needles for Dad and Brother's hats, but I can't go. Right now I'm just finshing up M's scarf, which I will have pics of in a couple days. (I would say soon, but I know myself.) Bye!

Addicted
For H's b-day, on December 15, I am making her leg warmers. This is because she loves long socks, but I am not up to making socks yet. Hence, the leg warmers. I am sooooo far along. Not really. I just started the other day. or was it yesterday? I'm suffering from memory loss due to the Thanksgiving food coma.

Millenium Park
A Roy Lichtenstein painting. Unfortunately the only one I took, since I was busted for taking photos of an exhibit I'm not allowed to. Whoopsie, daisy. It's really too bad, seeing as it was one of the coolest exhibits there. It's by a post-modern artist, Poppel, and he had basically set up his studio in the mueseum. pretty neat.
Here come pictures of Millenium Park. I really don't think I need captions for every single one of these.
pretty, huh? Plus, I got a lot of knitting done on the bus. That is, when obnoxious teenage boys weren't bugging me about it. I'm currently working on a crazy, multicolored scarfit's going to be super-long, but I have no idea who to give it to. I'll probably end up keeping it.
